2024 Recap & 2025 Predictions
I should start with a few disclaimers: DTS is out! Everyone is reliving the chaos of last season but it was rare, I was there, I remember it all too well. Joking, but! Really I was there and I don’t need that immediate reminder of everything that happened. I said at the end of my last post and I feel the need to say it again? It’s just not my thing but I’ll catch the clips that everyone is reposting on social media. So, sorry to disappoint if you came here looking for DTS thoughts. I could do an entire post on how angry the show makes me if that’s really what you want.
Another disclaimer before we get to the good stuff: I realize I haven’t explicitly stated who I am a fan of. And honestly, given the 10 people who read this know me personally, I don’t feel the need to. If you really care, you could easily find my Twitter (@KatBowe) and figure it out or even use context clues from my last season weekend pre and post thoughts. I try to stay as neutral as possible here but it’s easy because it’s the off season and all drivers and teams deserve recognition because genuinely this sport is insane. But here in my private yet public online safe space that is this website, I am trying to share on the universal fan experience of the sport. Next week though? You’ll be able to tell so easily in the Australia weekend recap post. The weekly crash-outs in my conversations with my good friend Leah, who, whether she likes it or not, is my emotional support F1 fan, are an absolute masterclass in delusion and rage. (Everyone say thank you Leah for her service) Maybe, at some time in the future I will purposefully state my allegiances but if you’re smart you can figure it out pretty easily.
2024 Recap
My recap for 2024 is essentially me just going through my pre-race weekend and post weekend notes app that I started last season to help me keep track of the wide range of emotions throughout the season. I have found them to be helpful to recall what happened with little to no context and please keep in mind I did not edit a single one of these as I copy and pasted directly from my notes app. So, please enjoy the whirlwind that was the 2024 F1 season from my not very flushed out thoughts of each race weekend:

2025 Season Predictions
Rookie on podium
I will give this to Kimi due to just the potential I think the Merc car has this season but watch me so extremely and incredibly wrong which I wouldn’t be completely shocked at
Aston Martin jump scare (good way)
Adrian probably has their engineers working like they are in the freaking marines. He’s going to have them in a decent paced car come upgrades time. I feel it in my bones.
Constructors championship: Ferrari
I think that the hype train is on McLaren so heavy and you want to talk about moving in silence? Ferrari. The team. Not the fans, they are actually the loudest group of fans on the internet sometimes. Not all. But a vast majority. Anyway, their aura and the energy combine with Fred and his witchy ways? I wouldn’t bet against them this season.
Drivers championship: I seriously have no idea. I have a few that I think could really be making a play this season but I think after Australia I will have a better idea. I think there are so many people that could reasonably be in the fight for the title but I normally make my decision after the first race. The race mentality tells me a lot. So, my favorites right now, please do not let me down.
Best of the rest team: Williams
I have been singing their praises the last few weeks and I just really am throwing some of my support behind them this season.
I think there will be so much chaos just across the board but hey, VCARB lets only switch up the driver line up if completely necessary. I still have whiplash from the last 2 years
